QLD:Chisholm pulls out of race for ALP top job
Queensland Labor powerbroker ANTHONY CHISHOLM has pulled out of the race to become
the party's next national secretary.
Mr CHISHOLM .. the ALP's Queensland state secretary .. was being lined up to succeed
KARL BITAR in the federal job.
But The Australian newspaper says he's pulled out .. days before his appointment was
to be ratified .. and the ABC says he's staying put for family and to help ANNA BLIGH
get re-elected.
Mr CHISHOLM has dismissed planned legal action by some party members alleging forgery
and dodgy voting practices involving the administrative committee .. saying all operations
have been above board.
